Christie in Love
Howard Brenton's 'Christie In Love' is based on the events surrounding the infamous serial killer John Reginald Christie.
The play explores the treatment and subsequent re-execution of a ressurected Christie by his interrogators, and plays with the audience's preconceptions about what may be right and what may be wrong. The ideas of love, violence and humour are juxtaposed to the extent that, by the end of the play, the audience are left only with Christie and his act of love.
