Workshops
All of our workshops are completely free. There's no need to sign up for any of our workshops (unless specified), just feel free to turn up on the day. If you have any further questions or want any other details, feel free to contact Inga at president@bedlamtheatre.co.uk
WRITING GROUP
Every week on Saturday afternoons 4-6pm in the Bedlam Cafe. Come along to learn a bit about writing for the stage and try your hand at it. If you're totally new, don't worry, we'll work through some general techniques and ideas for a rounded introduction to writing for theatre. If you're an old hat, the second half of each workshop will be focused on looking at pieces that we've all been working on, getting some feedback from other on progress and having some actors in for a more theatrical reading to help you see your work take form.
IMPROVISED COMEDY WORKSHOPS
Every Saturday at 12pm in Bedlam the Improverts lead a workshop where you can play some improvisation games and learn a bit about thinking on your feet! If you're interested in becoming an Improvert, this is also the place to get a foothold.
TECH WORKSHOPS
Every week the Improverts, our resident improvised comedy troupe, take to the stage to perform at 10.30pm on a Friday night. From 9.30pm onwards, techies gather to learn a bit about tech, rig and focus in preparation for the show, get to grips with the lighting and sound desks, programme some cues and then tech the totally improvised show. It's a great way to get to know others interested in tech, try your hand at different areas of tech and get some experience in a fun environment.
OTHER WORKSHOPS
Details about additional workshops will be posted here, so keep checking back for info. If there's a workshop you're particularly keen on that we haven't done, feel free to email me, Inga, at president@bedlamtheatre.co.uk with your ideas
