From that reasonably well-dressed wonder, David “K” Barnes, comes this hopefully humorous and wilfully whimsical collection of comedy sketches, stunningly titled “Fairly Familiar Things”.
Did you ever walk in on your parents at an “inopportune” moment? Can you remember being taught the facts of life? Do you wonder who invented the paving slab? Does sex generally appeal to you?
If you answered “Yes!” to all, some or none of the above questions then this is the show for you. “Fairly Familiar Things” has a distinctly domestic leaning, broken up only by slightly broader scenarios that will nevertheless manage to tickle your fancy. Do you like having your fancies tickled? We do. Oh Lord, yes.
It isn’t gritty. It isn’t controversial. But it ought to be rather funny, really.
