At Girton College, Cambridge, the first college in Britain to admit women, four first years are determined to win the right to graduate. Little do they anticipate the hurdles that stand in their way and the strength of an establishment desperate to stop them. Blue Stockings follows the girls, their tutors and the Cambridge boys over one tumultuous academic year in their fight to change the future of education
