A highly respected old Greek
Brought Comedy’s art to it’s peak
He wrote “Lysistrate”
For Athens and Sparta
But we modernised it in a week
Aristophanes turned in his urn
(Greeks weren’t buried, but sent off to burn)
But he wasn’t dismayed
At the changes we made
For we made ‘em our money to earn
Though it put the Lord C. in a rage
To see sex written bold on each page
We have no pretences
We make audiences Laugh at this play for our age
