“A further Bedlam link is with the University of Heidelberg, which has been fostered by Les Escogriffes, the French language drama society of Edinburgh University. This link was capitalised on by Alex Roberts when he took a co-production by E.U.T.C. and Les Escogriffes of “ Oh, What a Lovely War “ to Heidelberg in 1988 after its main term success at the Bedlam( with musical arrangements by Jerry Gill and Chris Hoban). “ Oh, What a Lovely War “ was another Bridget Webster costume extravaganza, and the musical talents of Bedlam members proved quite stunning,as did their professional approach.”
