Oscar Wilde
‘To lose one parent Mr Worthing, may be regarded as unfortunate, to lose both looks like carelessness’
In Oscar Wilde’s much-loved comedy, ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’, Jack, Algernon, Gwendolen, and Cecily discover how unsmooth the course of true love can run, especially when one is pretending to have the name of Ernest. A fast-paced, hysterical romp about mistaken identities, babies in handbags and cucumber sandwiches, dealing with gender politics, social class and romance with a signature Wildean wit.
Bedlam Theatre 25-29th February 7.30pm (with a 2.30pm relaxed matinee)
